Alviano (Tr). From November 7th to 9th the old town centre of Alviano will be alive with a number of events scheduled around the reopening of the recently restored rooms in the Castle of Alviano, once home to the legendary commander Bartolomeo d’Alviano. On the 7th at 9.30am there will be a conference entitled “La rocca, il cavaliere, l’arme, l’amore”, with at 5pm in the afternoon the opening of a market in the streets of the old town centre. At 9.30pm there will be a performance entitled “Chi di Spada” in the square. On the 8th the day’s appointments begin at 9.30am with a series of instructive events designed for schoolchildren and entitled “L’Avventura di un capitano di ventura”. At 4pm there will be the official inauguration of the Sala Consiliare of the castle, with performances of “Clerici Vagantes” at 6.30 and 9.30pm to round off the evening. On the 9th at 9 and 11am a tour of the town’s hidden treasures has been scheduled, followed by a procession in period costume at 3pm and the Palio degli Asini pageant at 4.30pm. The entire event will conclude at 8.30pm with a performance of “I tre nodi”.
